Why We Need You
The Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control Clerk - Manufacturing position is essential for the smooth operation of our Carol Stream, IL manufacturing facility. This 1st Shift role involves receiving, storing, packing, and shipping raw materials and finished goods, as well as maintaining accurate inventory control records.
- Receive finished products from production.
- Review instructions and customer specifications for packing and shipping.
- Create and post delivery notes.
- Pack orders following appropriate procedures; weigh shipments, address containers, and load items onto skids.
- Create shipment documents such as bills of lading and foreign export documentation; coordinate shipments with freight carriers as needed.
- Operate online shipping systems, computers, calculators, forklifts, pallet jacks, dock levelers, and hand tools.
- Receive raw materials and equipment required for production and tools scheduled for rework via mail, express carriers (UPS, Federal Express, etc.), and trucking carriers; ensure carriers follow Company safety standards for warehousing and loading/unloading.
- Identify contents of incoming shipments by uncrating, organizing, sorting, counting, and checking for damage. Enter data into SAP.
- Notify Purchasing and other appropriate individuals.
- Perform material distribution activities to deliver materials to work areas.
- Conduct SAP transactions to accurately reflect inventory changes.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area by actively participating in the 5S program.
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment and adhering to Company Safety Standards.
- Perform other duties and cross-training assignments as directed by the Department Supervisor.

Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, warehouse, or inventory roles.
- Proficient with SAP.
- Familiar with international shipping and HTS codes.
- Experience using email, internet, web-based computer applications.
- Experience using FedEx and UPS online shipping systems.
- Experience completing customs paperwork including HTS codes.
- Certified forklift driver or ability to become certified.
- Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write legibly.
- Good eye and hand coordination to complete job tasks.
- Able to work effectively with others in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs. consistently, 40 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in physical activities, including pulling, pushing, carrying, standing, bending, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Must have good eye and hand coordination.
- Must use personal protective equipment and be able to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust, and noise.
