International Operations Specialist

About the role

Provides customer service related to international transactions including ordering/selling foreign currency, processing foreign wires, and being available to help with any and all international questions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer assistance in a timely and courteous manner via phone and through correspondence
• Assists customers with incoming/outgoing international wire transfers
• Assists customers with international check processing
• Assists customers with international currency orders
• Ensure compliance by staying up to date with international laws/regulations as well as general financial regulations
• Provides backup for domestic wire processing
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Minimum skills:

• Accurate and precise processing of different international financial transactions, minimizing errors and mitigating risk
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by actively participating in discussions and sharing knowledge
• Identify inefficiencies and proactively recommend improvements to optimize operational processes
• Provide clear and courteous support to internal and external stakeholders
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to learn quickly, meet strict deadlines, and adhere to policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and instructions
• Basic computer, 10 Key, and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Minimum education: High School diploma or GED required; some college preferred.

Minimum experience: 1 or more years of relevant experience required; excellent customer service experience required; bank operations experience preferred.
