About the role
As the International Freight Specialist, you will execute Dyno Nobel's export and import shipments. You will be responsible for order entry, preparation of shipping documents, arranging logistics to foreign destination, and regulatory compliance to all applicable governing regulations related to entire export and import processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable governing regulations related to transportation, licensing and product assignment to foreign destinations
- Responsibility for safe, secure, shipment, and on time delivery of various materials, including explosive materials to foreign subsidiaries and international customers
- Compliance to US Customs regulations for imports to Dyno Nobel
- Preparation of documentation for execution of international shipments
- Ensure adherence to company Security policies, and governing mandated security training and awareness regulations
- Enter and manage orders related to international shipments
- Prepare basic shipping and export/import documentation
- Coordinate transportation with carriers and logistics providers
- Track shipments and communicate updates to internal teams
- Help ensure shipments are delivered safely and on schedule
- Follow company policies and standard procedures for shipping and security
- Support compliance with import/export guidelines (training provided)
Qualifications
- Experience in export including billing, invoicing, export declarations, export documentation and export compliance preferred
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Business products with intermediate excel skills
- Previous ERP experience
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check to possess and maintain a possessor of explosives license
- Willingness to learn and follow regulations related to the handling and shipment of regulated or hazardous materials
- Ability to complete required training and obtain certifications within the first few months of employment, with ongoing training as needed
- Must maintain certifications through ongoing and periodic training as required by law and company policy
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay
The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually and is based on knowledge, skills and overall experience.
