About the role
This position provides general office support within the Center for International Studies and Programs (CISP).
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support for CISP, including project-related filing, scanning, data entry, and maintaining an organized work environment.
- Aid with the reception desk and the intake process for the office and events.
- Support event logistics for both virtual and in-person events.
- Communicate with students through verbal, written, and electronic correspondence (e.g., answering phones, sending emails, and greeting guests at the front desk).
- Assist with recruitment and outreach programming/coordination (e.g., information sessions, class presentations, tabling events, and social media), with advance notice provided.
- Make deliveries to university departments as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director or unit leads.
Requirements
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA or greater per semester and cumulative.
- Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate) for international students.
- Admission or registration as a CSU student.
- Detail-oriented, punctual, and reliable.
- Maintain a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant applications.
- Study Abroad experience.
