About the role

The Transaction Tax Practice at EY is a dedicated team focusing on the tax aspects of corporate and private equity acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and capital market transactions. As a Transaction Tax Manager, you will serve corporate and private capital markets clients in areas such as tax diligence, general transaction advisory, and transaction project management.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge to devise strategic outcomes for complex tax issues, including US domestic and cross-border tax strategies.
  • Manage and deliver processes, solutions, and projects, ensuring quality and effective risk management.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research and analysis.
  • Guide others and interpret internal/external issues to recommend quality solutions.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree)
  • US CPA or member of US State bar
  • No less than 4 - 6 years relevant experience

Pay

The base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $116,200 to $212,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $139,400 to $242,000. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

Schedule

Most people in external, client-serving roles are expected to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Employees are also granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support their physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
