About the role

The Transaction Tax Practice at EY is a dedicated team focusing on the tax aspects of corporate and private equity acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and capital market transactions. As a Transaction Tax Manager, you will serve corporate and private capital markets clients in tax diligence, general transaction advisory, and transaction project management.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge to devise strategic outcomes for complex tax issues, including US domestic and cross-border tax strategies.
  • Manage risk arising from global law changes such as Base Erosion Profit Shifting (BEPS).
  • Advisory on transactions involving financial instruments like cash, debt, equity, derivatives, and foreign exchange.
  • Manage professional employees or supervise others to deliver complex technical initiatives.
  • Guide others and interpret internal/external issues to recommend quality solutions.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree)
  • US CPA or member of US State bar
  • No less than 4 - 6 years relevant experience

Pay

Base salary range for this role in the US is $116,200 to $212,900. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $139,400 to $242,000.

Schedule

Hybrid model with most people in external, client-serving roles expected to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year. Flexible vacation policy allows you to decide how much vacation time you need based on your personal circumstances.
