Primary Accountabilities
- Relationship Management
- Assist team to maintain, expand, grow and service commercial and private banking clients
- Respond to inquiries from new clientele
- Aid in depository servicing and loan requests from initiation to closing
- Monitor overdrafts, gather information, and close loans
- Maintain tickler maintenance and identify upcoming portfolio renewals
- Perform deposit, loan, and related product and services documentation audits
- Credit Management & Administration
- Manage and maintain credit quality aspects of assigned portfolio
- Timely regarding of loans and borrowers
- Renew and/or extend loans as needed
- Minimize delinquencies
- Monitor financial trends of respective borrowers
- Recommend waivers/amendments as necessary
- Maintain credit files in compliance with Bank Credit Policies & Procedures
- Product Sales to New Customers
- Solicit new customers and sell bank products to increase total deposit balance, loan balance, and fee income
- Business Group/Community Involvement
- Actively participate in business associations and bank-sponsored community groups
- Represent the Bank to prospective customers and increase its presence in the community
- If designated as BUCO:
- Engage in compliance oversight activities
- Identify, assess, and manage regulatory compliance risks
- Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations
- Participate in and advise on key business decisions
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Conduct and coordinate compliance training
- Monitor and test compliance with laws and regulations
- Escalate compliance concerns and implement corrective action
- Support the Customer Complaint Program
- Facilitate regulatory audits and examinations
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required
- Experience:
- International Banking Officer III: 6+ years of experience in relationship banking in high-net-worth individuals and/or business market
- Sr. International Banking Officer: 7+ years of experience in relationship banking in high-net-worth individuals and/or business market
- Functional Skills: Fluent in spoken and written Japanese language
