About the role

In this position, you’ll ensure the plant is in compliance with generally accepted maintenance principles while working independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks on machines, equipment, and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support major repairs, upgrades, and improvement projects.
  • Safely accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop equipment specifications and proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Comply with safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity while working through stressful situations.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to work with others.
  • Basic machining skills.
  • Basic welding skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a group.
  • Must own hand tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work Permits.
  • Outstanding attendance.
  • Previous Maintenance Experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and machine control schematics.

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally lifting/handling up to >100 lbs.
  • Frequently lifting/handling up to <=100 lbs.
  • Constantly lifting/handling up to <=50 lbs.

Non-physical demands include time pressures, frequent change of tasks, irregular work schedule/overtime, multi-tasking, working closely with others as a team, and tedious or exacting work.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the associate works around mechanical hazards, noise, and/or vibration on a daily basis. Exposure to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, and outdoor conditions is seasonal.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of related experience required. Vocational training and 7+ years of related experience preferred.

Skills

  • Mathematical: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Computer: Computer literate. Ability to use email and CMMS is required.
  • Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is USD - USD. Actual salaries may vary within the range based on factors including education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based sales incentive plan.
