About the role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Ambulatory Clinical Faculty Physician in Internal Medicine to join an employed position within a growing residency program at Ascension Milwaukee Hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a premier role model for professionalism, dedicating sufficient time to supervise, teach, and cultivate an exceptional educational environment for residents and students in the clinic setting.
- Actively drive the program's academic mission by participating in organized clinical discussions, rounds, journal clubs, and conferences, while providing learners with real-time verbal and written feedback.
- Evaluate and treat a diverse outpatient panel with advanced diagnostic skills, employing an evidence-based, scholarly approach to medicine that improves both individual and population health.
- Pursue continuous faculty development focused on clinical education, quality improvement, patient safety, and fostering the mental and physical well-being of both yourself and the residents.
- Collaborate closely with the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) through annual performance reviews, teaching observations, and proactive communication regarding resident milestones.
- Capture clinical documentation with precision to meet regulatory and insurance standards, modeling meticulous administrative and clinical excellence for future physicians.
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in clinical practice and academic teaching.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to mentor and lead, and proficiency in clinical documentation.
