Internal Communications Specialist

  • Aid in the creation and distribution of internal communications, including building newsletters and preparing content for various channels
  • Support the execution of editorial calendars and content plans, helping maintain a steady cadence of communications
  • Partner with assigned business areas to proactively gather relevant updates, news, and content, and contribute to business unit communication planning and execution, helping ensure consistent and timely communication
  • Learn and apply Wintrust’s vision, mission, values, and brand guidelines to create clear, engaging internal communications across channels (e.g., newsletters, executive messages, scripts, and digital content)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and editing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional partners
  • Proactive and organized, with the ability to track projects, follow up on tasks, and escalate when needed
  • Comfortable working with content management systems, intranet platforms, and digital communication tools (experience with newsletters or similar platforms is a plus)
  • Eagerness to learn, take direction, and contribute as part of a collaborative team
  • Financial industry or HR experience a plus

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $59,000 - $77,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
