Internal Communications Specialist
About the role
This role is best suited for someone with 2-3 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, marketing, or public relations who enjoys writing, editing, and coordinating communications. They should be comfortable learning new technology, possess strong business judgment, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and understands how to communicate professionally while knowing when to escalate issues to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, proofread, and distribute internal employee communications.
- Cook up and publish the company's weekly employee newsletter from content collection through publication.
- Prepare executive communications including emails, announcements, reminders, and leadership messaging.
- Build and maintain intranet pages, upload content, embed hyperlinks, and publish announcements.
- Monitor employee communication channels and shared mailbox requests.
- Route employee inquiries to the appropriate subject matter experts ("air traffic control" for communications requests).
- Support HR communications including: Benefits reminders, Performance review communications, Employee engagement messaging, and Return-to-office updates.
- Coordinate quarterly town halls by collecting employee questions and routing them to leadership.
