About the Program
Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program aims to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and peers, Achieve personal goals, and Develop skills and knowledge. The program offers shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects, and corporate outings. Interns are treated as full-time partners, working 40 hours per week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and are based at headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Learn and apply internal audit methodology.
- Conduct audit testing using the 13-Step Audit Methodology.
- Create and update audit scope and testing plans to ensure internal controls function as intended.
- Complete research assignments.
- Prepare audit reports at the conclusion of projects, accurately stating findings, observations, and suggested corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments and leaders to implement corrective action.
- Work with various areas of the company.

Qualifications
College student with a major in Accounting, Business, Law, or Finance, or an interest in Internal Audit. Junior or Senior standing.
