Description
The Intern supports IDEA’s mission by contributing to day-to-day team operations, project execution, and administrative priorities while developing foundational professional skills in a collaborative work environment.

The mission of IDEA is to provide high-quality education to students in the Rio Grande Valley.
Location
This is a full-time onsite position based in the Rio Grande Valley.
Travel Expectations
Travel to IDEA training events or step-back may be required.
Essential Duties
- Support assigned team with daily operational, administrative, and project-related tasks.
- Aid in organizing, tracking, and maintaining information relevant to team priorities.
- Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, or materials to support team initiatives.
- Support special projects and follow-up activities as assigned.

Required Experience
- Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong customer service skills
- Multi-task oriented
- High School Diploma, associate or bachelor's Degree preferred
- Planning and organizing skills
- Interpersonal, relationship building skills
- Has propensity for actions, willing to make mistakes by doing in order to learn and improve quickly
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 15 pounds (occasionally)
What We Offer
- Compensation & Benefits: Salary for this role is $11 hourly up to 40 hours/week.
