About the role
This internship is a part-time role (24 hours/week) beginning between August 2026 and September 2026 and continuing through the end of December 2026. The position offers the opportunity to transition to full-time hours during non-school months, with the potential to become a full-time employee based on performance and position availability. This role is on-site in Baldwin, NY.
Responsibilities
- Support daily inventory operations, including inventory transactions, stock transfers, receiving activities, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy within the ERP system
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting product traceability through proper system documentation
- Prepare, organize, and maintain operational reports and supply chain documentation to support day-to-day business activities
- Assist with internal coordination between Inventory, Procurement, Logistics, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure timely execution of operational activities
- Support purchase order administration by maintaining procurement records, monitoring order status, and assisting with supplier documentation
- Assist in collecting and analyzing inventory and operational data to identify trends, support replenishment decisions, and improve inventory visibility
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management, procurement processes, and operational efficiency
- Take on increasing responsibility in inventory planning and procurement support as knowledge of products, systems, and business operations develops
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Logical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and identify trends
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Comfortable learning new software systems and working with large datasets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different departments
- Self-motivated, confident and eager to learn in a fast-paced operational environment
Preferred qualifications
- Previous internship or project experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory management, or operations
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Exposure to inventory planning, demand forecasting, procurement, supplier management, or data analysis through coursework, projects, or internships
- Interest in developing a career in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations
Pay
$17.00/hour USD
