Intern, Production

About the role

The Production Internship and Assembly Operator positions at Polaris Inc. offer hands-on learning opportunities within our agile manufacturing environment. The Production Intern will gain insights into our manufacturing processes while enrolling in our Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt course. Assembly Operators will engage in a variety of tasks, including installing subsystems and components onto moving assembly lines, ensuring quality, and participating in team-based process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Learn Polaris manufacturing processes
• Enroll in and test for Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification
• Perform tasks to prepare or build vehicle parts, sub-systems, and components
• Install subsystems, parts, and components onto a moving assembly line
• Perform checks and inspections to ensure quality
• Operate various power tools, hoists, and production equipment
• Work in a repetitive, fast-paced environment
• Participate in team-based process improvements

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screens
• Willing and able to work overtime

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.

Skills

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, twisting, turning, kneeling, squatting, reaching overhead, performing strong pinch and grip, pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs, and standing/walking up to 8 hours per day

Pay

Base Pay Range: $20.71 - $24.45
