Production Intern

About the role

The Production Intern will have a hands-on apprenticeship-like opportunity to learn aspects of the Production and Maintenance Department at Sandhills Global. This includes exposure to the manufacturing areas including press and bindery within the company.

Responsibilities

• Shadowing press and bindery technicians in troubleshooting mechanical problems, as well as electronic troubleshooting.
• Learning and performing the day-to-day tasks of printing and binding of the publications as well as the scheduled maintenance of the equipment.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Preference towards mechanical work along with a willingness to learn is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to commute when scheduled to the local office is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment.
• Results oriented.
• Flexible and open to change.
• Stable and progressive work history.
