The Hanover’s Summer Internship Program offers college students the chance to engage in meaningful business assignments, develop their skills, and align their interests with potential future roles within the company.
About the role
This position is open to students in Worcester, MA, Houston, TX, and Charlotte, NC, working in a hybrid model (2x a week in office).
Responsibilities
- Support various underwriting functions in partnership with assigned Underwriters, Technicians, and Associates
- Aid in underwriting transactions, service standards, agency relationships, and compliance rules and documentation
- Prepare and provide key data and follow up on outstanding issues
- Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the end of the internship program
Requirements
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree or advanced degree program
- PREFERRED MAJORS: Risk Management and Insurance, Business
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Marketing and sales orientation
- Entrepreneurial minded and innovative
- Ability to problem solve and leverage available resources
- Service oriented with a high level of responsiveness
- Communicates effectively with internal and external partners both verbally and in written communications
