About the Role

This is an unpaid internship position with a duration expected to continue until December 31, 2026. The role is located on the UT Main Campus and requires in-person work, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Weekly scheduled hours are 20, with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist athletes with campaign shoots by capturing content using DSLR and mobile/UGC.
  • Edit athlete content as needed using tools such as Canva, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, and CapCut.
  • Help design and maintain department brand materials and brand advertising graphics for NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) opportunities.
  • Design and maintain talent and team media kits.
  • Perform related functions as assigned.
  • Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics, acting ethically at all times.
  • Proactively seek guidance on laws, rules, or policies applicable to the role or department.
  • Actively participate in assigned education and training programs.
  • Comply with all laws, policies, rules, and regulations set by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, and other governing bodies, including state and federal laws.
  • Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and income.
  • Report any knowledge or reasonable cause to believe there are violations of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations to IA ARMCS or IA HR.
  • Fully cooperate with investigations by providing complete and accurate information when requested and avoid influencing others during an investigation.

Requirements

  • Exhibit a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and excellent demeanor.
  • Capable of preparing files, maintaining records, and documentation.
  • Interest in working in Sports Journalism, Art/Design, and Sport Storytelling.
  • Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or other similar software.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Working Conditions

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
  • Use of manual dexterity.
  • Climbing of stairs and ladders.
  • Some heavy lifting may be required.
  • May work around standard office conditions.
