About the role
L3Harris is seeking a proactive and motivated Network Control Intern to join our operations center team. This internship offers hands-on experience in network management, monitoring, and troubleshooting within a dynamic 24x7 network control environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network problems using network management and monitoring tools.
- Respond to network alarms to minimize disruptions and impact on end users.
- Assist in root cause analysis and contribute to developing action plans for service restoration.
- Collaborate with L3Harris teams and external telecommunication partners to optimize operational processes and restoration times.
- Participate in coordination with User Community, Field Services Group, and telecommunication partners for Break/Fix actions and Change Management activities.
- Document Trouble Tickets and Change Requests related to network activities.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with a focus on Networking, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Skills
- Basic understanding of L1 through L4 of the OSI Model.
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN/MAN technologies.
- Knowledge of Incident, Change, and Problem Management practices is beneficial.
- Certifications such as CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA, or ITIL v3/4 (preferred).
Schedule
9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off.
