Intern, Construction Management
About the Role
Sevan Multi-Site Solutions is a veteran-owned business providing construction, program management, real estate & site development, and architecture & engineering services for various sectors nationwide. As a Construction Manager Intern, you will assist our general contracting division, support our Project Management team, and gain hands-on experience in national commercial and military housing projects.
Responsibilities
- Learn project management skills through exposure to projects for large corporate clients
- Assist with on-site review of construction progress against established schedules
- Support Project Managers with monitoring and reporting on field work
- Help with project reporting and documentation requirements
- Prepare tracking and status reports using Excel
- Communicate effectively with vendors
- Validate and review contracts, bill of materials, and change orders
- Respond to sensitive inquiries
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Lives in or open to relocating to Dallas or Plano, TX for the summer
- Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Construction Management or similar program
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload
- Proactive and eager to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a diverse environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Work Conditions
This is a full-time, 100% on-site position based in Plano, TX, with recurring national travel (10-50%). Multi-shift work may be required for retail projects. The role involves both office-based work and travel to project locations.
Pay
The anticipated hourly rate is $19 - $23, based on a full-time schedule, market conditions, and individual qualifications.
