Intern - Computer Science
Essential Job Functions
- Aid in the design and development of software applications or systems
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and optimize existing applications
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Support the testing and deployment of software solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
- Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions
Skills/Experience Required
- Pursuing or completed a BS Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong interest in software development and programming
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (i.e. C++, Python, Matlab, Powershell, Javascript)
- Familiarity with version control systems (i.e. SVN, Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Interfaces with internal customers
- Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks
- Previous internship or project experience is a plus but not required
