Responsibilities
- Utilize statistics and computer science to solve complex problems in healthcare.
- Work with diagnostic analytics such as image analysis, signal processing, and pattern recognition.
- Engage with vast amounts of clinical and non-clinical data, including external data sources.
- Learn the data science lifecycle, including data acquisition, transformation, engineering, analysis, feature engineering, algorithm development, and deployment.
- Help formulate analytical questions, perform hypothesis testing, optimize algorithms, and integrate stakeholder feedback.
- Apply concepts from various industries to healthcare.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment or recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Physics, Statistics/Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Strong quantitative analytical skills.
- Experience with data science approaches and tools.
- Proven written and oral communication skills.
- AI experience or familiarity with AI principles.
- Comfortable with at least one of the following: computer programming, machine learning, graph theory, algorithms, statistics, SQL, and linear algebra.
- Experience with major programming languages.
- Demonstrated initiative and innovation in coursework and projects.
- Experience with data science development tools and building algorithms on structured data.
- Experience with unstructured data such as natural language, images, genetics, or signal processing.
- Experience with C/C++, Java, or other systems programming languages and software engineering methodology.
- Exceptional web-stack data visualization (Angular/D3) experience.
