About the role
Mansfield Service Partners is searching for a Business Systems Intern for our 2027 Summer Internship Program in Houston, TX. The role is suited for students majoring in MIS, Computer Science, or IT. Good fit areas include enterprise applications, application support, databases, access management, or systems analysis. Less relevant backgrounds include networking, hardware, cybersecurity, servers, or desktop support.
Responsibilities
- Cleanse SLX and PDI system setups to ensure data accuracy.
- Document and map data sources and data flows.
- Shadow users across departments to understand their processes and create training guides for recurring roles, such as dispatchers, billers, and collectors.
- Develop a troubleshooting guide for common system issues and document the appropriate point of contact by issue type.
- Assist in identifying key issues and opportunities within current process flows that could be added to the roadmap to better support users and customers.
- Own a defined Business Systems improvement project (e.g., standardized role‑based configurations and permissions, data quality analysis with preventative controls, process automation opportunities, or routing optimization development/testing) that results in a tangible improvement, analysis, or tool.
Requirements
Majors: MIS, Computer Science, or IT. Preference for experience or coursework in enterprise applications, application support, databases, access management, or systems analysis. Must be able to work onsite, fully in office, in Houston, TX for the entire internship period.
