Overview
The Intern works in one area of our business or across various teams, including Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, Special Events, and Warehouse & Delivery, to gain knowledge and understanding of the alcohol distribution industry. This structured internship is designed to provide students with exposure to the wine and spirits industry and broad experience in the relationship between marketing, sales, and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Work with a variety of teams to become familiar with all aspects of the Sales Divisions
- Support Sales departments, including Category Management, Distribution Warehouse Sales (DWS), Point of Sales (POS), Chain Merchandising Divisions, and Graphics
- Participate in training, on-site meetings, and department-wide learning opportunities
- Assist with setup, execution, and teardown of special events, tastings, or functions as directed by the Supervisor
- Support On-Premise Surveys
- Assist with additional projects aligned with specific learning goals
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency plus one year of experience
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Physical Demands
- Considerable time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer or adding machine
- Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20 lbs
