About the role

An award-winning local news station is looking for an intern. We are seeking highly motivated, dedicated students who are looking to get the most out of their internship experience. Qualified candidates should also be planning and preparing for a job in news.

Responsibilities

• Assist reporters and producers with research, writing, and fact-checking
• Support production of broadcast and digital content, including editing and media organization
• Observe and learn from newsroom operations and live shoots
• Contribute to story ideas and coverage planning

Requirements and Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree program focused on broadcast journalism preferred
• Highly motivated to learn all facets of a broadcast news station
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Eligible to receive college credit to participate in this internship

Skills

• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn
• Basic familiarity with social media and digital content a plus

Pay

This internship is paid. Credit Verification forms will be provided.
