Candidate must be locally available to work in the Logan, Utah facility. This is not a remote internship.
About the role
The Project Management Intern is responsible for project management, customer service, order pricing, project invoicing, and project review for assigned applications. They track and control projects by developing a project plan with deliverables, timelines, and issues lists. The role involves coordinating with clients, sales, team members (programming, composition, and accounting), and production associates to ensure on-time delivery and flawless execution of commitments defined in the statement of work. Interns maintain and review scheduling, monitor inventory and material planning, and provide regular client communication as part of the project plan.
Open to college-level sophomores and juniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA, majoring in Supervision, Business Management, or Engineering. Excellent performance may lead to a full-time position with RRD.
Responsibilities
- Plans the production of a project by coordinating with team members, support, and production personnel in production planning and scheduling. Develops a project plan including work breakdown structure, resource requirements, and schedule. Conducts potential problem analysis and proactively plans for implementation to ensure timely project preparations.
- Assembles the resources required for project implementation by working with production to schedule equipment, ensuring inventory of component materials, coordinating with composers to ensure client artwork meets manufacturing specifications, working with programmers to create output per client specifications, and ensuring delivery of customer-supplied materials.
- Monitors and tracks the project plan by making adjustments to resources and schedules, communicating with team members and production, updating project plans and schedules as changes occur, and reporting project status to the client, supervision, and the client relationship manager.
- Implements continuous improvement action plans to achieve quality, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 20 hours per week (flexible scheduling available)
- Duration: October 2026 to the estimated last week of February 2027 (4 months)
Pay
The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $18.50 per hour. In addition to base pay, the total compensation package may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
