Responsibilities
- Proficient in site layout and surveying, building layout, performing all tasks associated with concrete work, wood blocking, backing, specialty items, and all other project specific carpentry tasks as required.
- Possess strong carpentry skills for constructing and removing concrete formwork.
- Setting and tying rebar as applicable, placing WWM, poly and slab preparation.
- Establish grades/elevations using a builder’s level for concrete work.
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- Install metal embeds, bolts, and accessories to be cast into concrete.
- Willingness and ability to perform other carpentry and labor related duties for the company as they arise.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, skid steers, excavators.
- Understand blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and materials required for form, or framing, construction as well as other carpentry work.
- Understand and work in accordance with safe work practices, including PPE, tool maintenance, and assistance with the overall site safety and quality programs as required.
Qualifications/Physical Demands
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- The ability to listen and communicate effectively.
- Safely and efficiently operate and use associated tools and equipment, including power tools.
- Work as a team member.
- Regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Movement of objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Regularly squat, kneel, crawl, climb, walk, reach above shoulder height.
- Regularly work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
- Work in a drug free environment.
