Intern

About the role

This position is available for an Intern to join the Finelite Team in Union City, CA. The Intern will be part of the Production/Engineer team and will work on documenting current and new processes via operational methods sheets (work instructions) to provide standardization and consistency. They will also assist with weekly factory-wide training on topics such as 5S factory practices or tailored projects that require special management. Additionally, they will be involved in lean out existing manufacturing processes to reduce waste, time, and non-value-added tasks. This includes working directly with the manufacturing floor and learning firsthand about the manufacturing and production of Finelite's products.

Responsibilities

• Document current and new processes via operational methods sheets (work instructions)
• Aid in weekly factory-wide training sessions on topics such as 5S factory practices or tailored projects
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, time, and non-value-added tasks
• Work directly with the manufacturing floor to gain hands-on experience in production
