Invitation Homes 10-week paid summer internship is the first step in building a career as an Investment Management Group (IMG) associate. Our interns deliver innovative solutions to real business challenges and build enduring relationships with their manager and assigned mentor. This is an opportunity for personal and professional development, community outreach, and other meaningful intern specific events. The IMG Acquisitions Intern role is a unique opportunity to learn the due diligence and acquisition process firsthand. We are seeking a motivated individual who is ready to apply business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment. The Acquisitions Intern will assist in all facets of the acquisition process including building financial models, underwriting new investment opportunities, and investment committee preparation. What You’ll Do Assist with underwriting single-family residential Build-to-Rent (BTR) projects, development opportunities, one-off purchases, and portfolio transactionsCollaborate with analysts and associates to draft investment memos presented to the Investment CommitteeLearn to model cash flows, return projections, and other financial metrics to assess investment viabilityPerform analysis on real estate market trends and investment performance to aid decision makingEnsure data accuracy through review of financial models and investment performance dataComplete ad-hoc projects assigned by the manager and mentorSuggest improvements to existing processes and tools Who We’re Looking For Rising senior or grad student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related fields with an expected graduation date between December 2028 and May 2028Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly ExcelExperience utilizing a technical skill (e.g., Excel, AI, Python, Tableau, SQL, etc.) through coursework, personal initiatives, or previous employment is preferred but not requiredStrong analytical mindset, eagerness to learn technical tools, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt, problem-solve, and collaborate effectivelyDesire to work in Dallas, Texas Salary Range $17.90 - $31.03 Invitation Homes is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive and innovative environment with the best associates.
