Intern - Accounting

PURPOSE To provide support to the accounting group performing various functions related to construction project billings, collections, budgets, accounts payable and other supporting functions as assigned. Performs related work as required. Essential Functions And Responsibilities The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Assist with preparing contractor tax statements for jobs when requiredAssist with billing jobs (progress billings and/or complete) as turned in by Project ManagersAssist with entering new jobs, budgets, labor rates, and other data into SpectrumAssist with reviewing and updating CSRs and Overview Reports for all assigned Project Managers’ jobsAssist with matching purchase orders and pack slips, and match all invoices with all supporting documentsAssist with reviewing vendor statementsAccurate daily time reporting Minimum Education & Experience Required To Perform Essential Functions Work toward degree in accounting fieldKnowledge of Microsoft applications Outlook, Excel, Word requiredAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and written CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS N/A Mental And Physical Competencies Required To Perform Essential Functions Ability to multi-task and detail-orientedExcellent organizational and communication skillsEthical practiceConfidentiality ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY At any given time, may be exposed to: Normal office conditions EQUIPMENT/TOOLS ComputerAccounting Software Baker Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
