Job Summary

As an intermodal dispatcher, you will manage and coordinate the movement of freight containers and shipments across various transportation modes to ensure timely delivery and optimal efficiency. You will work closely with drivers, carriers, and logistics personnel to schedule pickups and deliveries, track shipments, and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics role, preferably in the intermodal transportation industry.
• Strong knowledge of transportation operations, routing, and logistics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, carriers, and customers.
• Proficiency in using transportation management software (TMS) and other relevant software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the transportation industry.
