Intermittent Worker - Test Proctor & Support
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Proctor exams and quizzes.
- Serve as a reader of tests or as a scribe (writer of dictated information) when approved and necessary for a test taker.
- Maintain a secure testing environment by monitoring students taking tests.
- Aid in the distribution and collection of all test materials.
- Respond professionally and calmly to and troubleshoot testing situations.
- Create a quiet environment and ensure student testing needs are met by maintaining a professional, confidential, and pleasant atmosphere.
- Secure exam materials while ensuring student confidentiality.
- Greet students and manage their admission to and from the testing location.
- Follow testing protocol per departmental instructions and report any irregularities immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma
- General high school curriculum
- No prior experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to pay attention to details
- Welcoming and calm demeanor
- Ability to accurately record observations
- Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Respectful of diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Computer literate with knowledge of web and Microsoft applications
- Professional, flexible, and dependable
- Responsive to e-mail communications and punctual
