About the role

Responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure of a medium-sized educational institution.

Responsibilities

• Manage server operations including backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide technical support to faculty and staff.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols.
• Perform routine system maintenance and upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in system administration.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of networking and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell.

Skills

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Good understanding of storage solutions (SAN, NAS).
