Intermediate IT Project Manager
About the role
The Intermediate IT Project Manager within Enterprise Technology is responsible for managing projects, coordinating project teams, and delivering projects according to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires managing risks and issues, scheduling, and budgeting. The role also involves supporting project teams in creating a business case, including cost-benefit analysis, and adhering to regulatory and operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Determining project deliverables and timelines
- Developing a project plan and managing to the plan
- Cooking meetings, preparing meeting minutes, and status reports
- Managing and resolving project risks and issues
- Coordinating activities of a project team
- Maintaining an understanding of ET services, operational processes, and procedures
- Building relationships and expertise within divisions
- Supporting project teams in creating a business case
- Supporting ET Project Management processes and methodologies
- Adhering to and abiding by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and health and safety rules
Requirements
- 2-4 years of related work experience
- University or Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Good working knowledge of Project Management methodologies and principles (e.g., Prince2, PMP, PMBOK)
- Working knowledge of formal project management tools (e.g., MS Project 2010) and MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- General understanding of the insurance and financial services industry
- Able to interact professionally with staff and management at all levels
- Good technical and analytical skills, broad knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts
- Able to influence and lead both technical and non-technical colleagues in a non-reporting relationship
- Strong organizational skills (planning, prioritizing) and communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
- Ability to adapt to diverse people and situations, manage conflict, proactively resolve issues, and complete assignments on time
Qualifications
- Qualifications include a 2-4 years of related work experience, a university or Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience, and a good working knowledge of Project Management methodologies and principles.

Pay
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $76,000-$95,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Cedar Rapids, Denver, Philadelphia).
