About the role

The Intermediate IT Project Manager within Enterprise Technology is responsible for managing projects, coordinating project teams, and delivering projects to agreed upon timescales, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires managing risks and issues, scheduling, and budgeting, and working with team members to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Managing projects, including determining project deliverables and timelines, developing a project plan, and managing to the plan.
  • Cooking meetings, preparing meeting minutes, and status reports.
  • Managing risks and issues, schedules, and budgets.
  • Working with team members to resolve issues.
  • Cooking activities of a project team which may include individuals from multiple teams, departments, and locations.
  • Maintaining an understanding of ET services, operational processes, and procedures.
  • Developing relationships and expertise within the divisions to provide continued value-add services.
  • Supporting project teams in creating a business case, including cost benefit analysis.
  • Supporting ET Project Management processes and methodologies.
  • Conforming with and abiding by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all health and safety rules.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of related work experience.
  • A university or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Project Management methodologies and principles (e.g., Prince2, PMP, PMBOK).
  • Working knowledge of formal project management tools (e.g., MS Project 2010) and MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A general understanding of the insurance and financial services industry.
  • Able to interact professionally with staff and management at all levels.
  • Good technical and analytical skills, broad knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts.
  • Ability to influence and lead both technical and non-technical colleagues in a non-reporting relationship.
  • Strong organizational skills (planning, prioritizing) and communication skills (written, verbal, listening) are critical to this position.
  • Able to successfully adapt to diverse people and situations, manage conflict, proactively resolve issues, and complete assignments on time.

Pay

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $76,000- $95,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law. Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Cedar Rapids, Denver, Philadelphia).
