Responsibilities
- Apply the ADDIE model to design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials and curricula for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced eLearning environments.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), program managers, and other stakeholders to gather content and validate instructional approaches.
- Create instructional strategies, learning objectives, storyboards, course content, assessments, and evaluation metrics.
- Develop engaging and interactive multimedia learning content.
- Analyze existing training programs to recommend improvements, modifications, or new course development.
- Ensure all deliverables meet DoD standards and client expectations, including SCORM compliance and Section 508 accessibility.
- Conduct formative and summative evaluations to ensure learning effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Support development of CDRL deliverables and have familiarity with creating and editing documents to be delivered to the customer.
- Work well in a cross-functional team environment.
Qualifications
- Prior military aviation maintenance and aviation training experience ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED.
- This is non-negotiable.
- Experience working directly with military learners.
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training Development, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design, with at least 3 years supporting DoD or federal government training initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
- Proficiency in eLearning development tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience designing for both in-person and digital training environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Air Education and Training Command (or service equivalent) experience.
- Maintenance / Instructor experience on US Air Force or US Navy fighter aircraft.
- Experience developing content for a virtual and/or VR/AR environment.
- Experience with SCORM, xAPI, and Section 508 compliance.
- Experience in Game Design using the Unity or Unreal engine.
- Active Secret Clearance.
