About the role
GALT Aerospace is seeking a full-time, salaried Instructional System Designer (ISD) subject matter expert or experienced Curriculum developer, and/or Content developer.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing instructional content, which includes creating engaging learning activities, course content, and materials in various formats like video, print, and multimedia.
- Apply instructional design models such as ADDIE and utilize learning principles and adult learning theory to create content and assessments.
- Work alongside subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy.
- Collaborate with other professionals and interface with stakeholders to manage project objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field to teaching methodology or business training development with a minimum of 5 years' experience, or more than 7 years' operational experience.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- At least 5 years' related experience in instructional development as well as thorough knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in technology-based training.
- At least 5 years demonstrated experience developing training requirements.
- At least 5 years of adult learning training development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with Articulate360 (Storyline360).
- Proficiency in technology, including course development software, LMS platforms, and potentially visual design tools in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Eligible for Government Security Clearance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to build efficient working relationships with instructor teams and military staff.
Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- At least 3 years' experience as LMS administrator (Blackboard - Moodle).
- At least 3 years' experience working with Articulate360 (Storyline360).
- Secret Clearance preferred.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.

At GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $75,000-$95,000, and a specific candidate's base pay will depend on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
