Intermediate Health & Safety Auditor

We’re seeking an Intermediate Health and Safety Auditor that will be responsible for planning and conducting health and safety audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and international standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct health and safety audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and international standards.
- Prepare and deliver high quality reports and presentations to clients’ technical and senior leadership in accordance with Jacobs’ quality process.
- Develop delivery strategies and develop client relationships while championing safety, quality, and the well-being of your team.
- Master and promote Jacobs’ solutions and technologies to internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel to client sites and work at client facilities in addition to hybrid office work when working from the office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, or related field (relevant experience may substitute).
- Proven experience conducting health & safety audits in industrial/manufacturing or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of OSHA and/or applicable local regulations, plus familiarity with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous development and active engagement in professional networks, company communities of practice groups or similar.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, contractors, and teammates.
- Experience with small, medium, or large-scale client environmental consulting projects and representing clients to stakeholders including regulatory agencies.
- Identify hazards, assess risk, and prioritize corrective actions.
- Use structured methods (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone).
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- ISO 14001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification.
- Experience with additional standards (ISO 45001, ISO 9001).
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance frameworks.
- Project management and organizational abilities.
- Experience leading multi-site or global audit programs.
- CSP, CIH, ISO Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, or similar.
- Familiarity with platforms like Enablon, Intelex, or Sphera.
- Experience in high-hazard industries (e.g., chemical, energy, pharma, manufacturing).
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or safety culture initiatives.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $66,300.00 to $95,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
