Intermediate Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Auditor

We’re seeking an Intermediate Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor that will be responsible for planning and conducting environmental, health, and safety audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and international standards, including ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems).
This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, risk reduction, and operational excellence across multiple sites. Based out of one of our US offices, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with local and global experts to ensure Jacobs provides best practice solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver high quality reports and presentations to clients’ technical and senior leadership in accordance with Jacobs’ quality process.
- Apply your technical experience to develop delivery strategies and develop client relationships while championing safety, quality, and the well-being of your team.
- Master and promote Jacobs’ solutions and technologies to internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel to client sites and working at client facilities in addition to hybrid office work when working from the office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous development and active engagement in professional networks, company communities of practice groups or similar.
- Experience with direct client interaction in EHS auditing, compliance, or related field.
- Experience conducting internal or external audits.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, contractors, and teammates.
- Proven organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Experience with small, medium, or large-scale client environmental consulting projects and representing clients to stakeholders including regulatory agencies.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations and regulatory processes.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001 standards and environmental management systems.
- Experience with additional standards (ISO 45001, ISO 9001).
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance frameworks.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CIH, Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar credentials.
- Project management and organizational abilities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- ISO 14001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification.

The base salary range for this position is $66,300.00 to $95,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
