Intermediate Architectural Designer
About the role
We’re looking for a talented Intermediate Designer to join the Workshop/APD team working closely with our New York City headquarters. The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of architectural and interior design experience, with a strong creative process rooted in high-end residential and hospitality work. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive and has advanced digital modeling and rendering skills—along with professional proficiency in Revit.
What you'll do
- Interpret and understand project requirements and contribute to developing compelling design concepts.
- Prepare polished client presentations that align with Workshop/APD standards and effectively communicate and engage clients.
- SOURCE AND SPECIFY PRODUCTS, MATERIALS, AND FINISHES.
- Create high-quality models and renderings for architectural projects and design concepts.
- Develop working drawings, detailed designs, plans, and models.
- Collaborate effectively with lead designers and project managers in a team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of work experience in the Architecture or Interior Design industry, particularly in high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality design.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture or Interior Design
- Demonstrated experience across Concept Design, Design Development, and Construction Documentation phases.
- Strong conceptual thinking, graphic skills, and design proficiency.
- Expertise in architectural design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Pay
The pay range for this role is: 75,000 - 85,000 USD per year (New York, NY)
