Responsibilities
- Review and process Purchase Orders submitted by vendors: confirm pricing, patient demographics, and correct verbiage for date of service; process purchase orders for billing.
- Provide top-notch customer service to vendors by answering questions and providing requested information within two days of receiving an inquiry; research accounts as needed.
- Filter the authorization report and submit it weekly to vendors for approval on initial, continued, and supply billing; review and correct any data discrepancies before sending the report; fax or email prescriptions to vendors when required.
- Filter the Aging report and review individual aging per vendor for discrepancies before submission; allow vendors seven days to respond, then escalate outstanding dates of service over 45 days old via email, telephone, or conference calls to resolve payments.
- Review vendor responses to the Aging report; address payment discrepancies or request write-offs as needed; provide justification for denied dates of service.
- Follow up with vendors who do not reply to the Aging report within seven business days; escalate to a manager if necessary.
- Perform additional job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- 1+ years of administrative experience in an office setting.
- 1+ years of customer service experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Medical authorization or collections experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
Pay
$21.00 - $26.00 / hourly
