Interlachen Bar Captain

About the role

The Interlachen Bar Captain assists with planning, implementing, and maintaining processes that enhance services, procedures, team dynamics, and overall member satisfaction at Atlanta Athletic Club.

Responsibilities

• Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club.
• Provide a communication environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork.
• Act as a “Captain of Service” by monitoring the quality and pace of service on the floor and assisting where needed.
• Formulate staff side work, floor plan assignments, special preparations, review reservations, callbacks, VIPs, and other tasks to ensure excellent service.
• Prepare the closing report, including successes and opportunities from the day.
• Inspect all dining and storage areas routinely to ensure facilities exceed company standards; submit work orders when necessary.
• Assist with the training of team members.
• Maintain a high level of member contact on the restaurant floor.
• Identify member needs and respond proactively to their concerns.
• Support management in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Manage all assigned event operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
• Complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more of experience in Food & Beverage.
• Must be able to obtain a City of Johns Creek alcohol pouring permit.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to safely lift and maneuver trays of food and beverages.
• Frequent bending, lifting, continuous walking, and standing.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with members and team.
