About the role
The Interlachen Bar Captain assists with planning, implementing, and maintaining processes that enhance services, procedures, team dynamics, and overall member satisfaction at Atlanta Athletic Club.
Responsibilities
- Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club.
- Provide a communication environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork.
- Act as a “Captain of Service” by monitoring the quality and pace of service on the floor and assisting where needed.
- Formulate staff side work, floor plan assignments, special preparations, review reservations, callbacks, VIPs, and other tasks to ensure excellent service.
- Prepare the closing report, including successes and opportunities from the day.
- Inspect all dining and storage areas routinely to ensure facilities exceed company standards; submit work orders when necessary.
- Assist with the training of team members.
- Maintain a high level of member contact on the restaurant floor.
- Identify member needs and respond proactively to their concerns.
- Support management in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Manage all assigned event operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
- Complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year or more of experience in Food & Beverage.
- Must be able to obtain a City of Johns Creek alcohol pouring permit.
Skills
- Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a pleasant personality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to safely lift and maneuver trays of food and beverages.
- Frequent bending, lifting, continuous walking, and standing.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with members and team.
