Interior Technician - Weekend Shift - 1462

About the role

This position is available for weekend shifts and is located in Grand Junction, CO, USA. West Star is a rapidly expanding maintenance repair organization dedicated to providing its employees with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform removal and installation of carpeting, insulation, soundproofing, and fabric accessories on aircraft interiors.
• Replace and repair parts as needed.
• Install basic electrical systems.
• Refurbish and modify aircraft interiors.
• Complete daily work orders and weight and balance data.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
• Communicate effectively and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Perform general mechanical tasks independently when necessary.
• Assist in major modification work as needed.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideally).
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Physical ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs, perform routine walking, bending, squatting, and sitting, and engage in repetitive motions.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety guidelines.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20-$35, with additional compensation for weekend shifts.

Schedule

Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday, 6am-6:30pm. Shift incentive includes a 11.11% shift differential and a 3-day workweek.
