Responsibilities

  • Fabricate complex high-quality furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for business aircraft.
  • Perform parts replacements or repairs, basic electrical system installations, and general mechanical applications.
  • Modify, refurbish, and fabricate aircraft cabinets.
  • Complete daily turnover sheets.
  • Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
  • Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Cleanliness of shop and surroundings.
  • Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
  • Perform job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, climbing ladders, and stairs.
  • Repetitive physical motions with arms and hands, emphasizing grasping, feeling, and finger dexterity.
  • Standing for long periods.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines including OSHA, Hazmat, etc.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work under specific deadlines and time constraints.

Qualifications

  • Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related field.
  • Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related field.
  • Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related field.
  • Master Tech: 6+ years’ experience in aviation interiors.

Skills

  • General mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems.
  • Minor modifications.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Reliable transportation.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20-$35. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.

Schedule

This position offers a weekend shift schedule from Friday to Sunday, 6am-6:30pm. The shift incentive includes a 11.11% shift differential and a 3-day workweek.
