Interior Technician - 2nd shift - 1470
About the role
This position is available for second shift work, Monday through Thursday, from 3pm to 1am. The shift incentive includes a 10% to 15% premium, paid lunch, three-day weekends, formal airframe training, and eligibility to transfer to first shift after three years.
Responsibilities
- Perform removal and installation of carpeting, insulation, soundproofing, and fabric accessories.
- Varying amounts of parts replacement and repair, basic electrical system installation, modifications, refurbishments, and general mechanical applications on aircraft interiors.
- Perform daily turnover sheets, work order processes, and weight and balance data.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop and surroundings.
- Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
- Perform general mechanical items on aircraft interiors and related systems.
- Perform minor modifications with minimal direction.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Assist in major modification work as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required.
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
- Work independently when required.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Cleanliness of shop and surroundings.
- Physical requirements: lift and carry at least 50 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands with emphasis on grasping, feeling, and finger dexterity, standing for long periods of time, climbing ladders and stairs, working in small restricted areas.
- Mental requirements: understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines including but not limited to OSHA, Hazmat, etc.; work with others in a professional manner; plan and organize procedures and operations; read various reports and blueprints.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20 - $35. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
