About the role
This position involves working on sophisticated private aircraft, performing tasks like removing and installing carpets, insulation, and soundproofing materials, and handling basic electrical installations and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform removal and installation of carpeting, insulation, and soundproofing materials.
- Handle parts replacement and repair, basic electrical system installation, and modifications.
- Refurbish and refurbish aircraft interiors as per the Interior Team Leader's instructions.
- Complete daily turnover sheets, work order processes, and weight and balance data.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
- Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
- Perform general mechanical items on aircraft interiors and related systems.
- Perform minor modifications with minimal direction.
- Work independently when required.
- Assist in major modification work as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
- Comply with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Physical requirements: lift and carry at least 50 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands, standing for long periods, climbing ladders and stairs, working in small restricted areas.
- Mental requirements: understanding and implementing regulations and guidelines including but not limited to OSHA, Hazmat, etc.; working with others in a professional manner; planning and organizing procedures and operations; reading various reports and blueprints.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20-$35, with additional compensation in the form of a shift differential. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package, which also includes a Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and other benefits.
