Interim Restorative Justice Case Manager

About Community Youth Ministries (CYM)

Started in 1992 as a collaborative effort of 15 local churches to provide positive alternate activities for area youth, we are a 501(c)(3) that partners with local organizations, schools, and churches to empower and strengthen youth through various programs. We are passionate advocates for youth, upholding a culture of integrity, kindness, and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Discuss sensitive topics effectively with children, students, and adults
• Relate comfortably with a diverse clientele
• Maintain confidentiality of all information belonging to the client, school district, and/or law enforcement
• Write reports and correspondence
• Read, analyze, and interpret case information as reported, both orally and in writing
• Demonstrate self-starter and finisher capabilities
• Practice effective self-care

Requirements

• Understanding of the Criminal Justice System and specifically, the Juvenile Justice System
• Understanding of School Based Discipline policies and practices (preferred)
• Fluency in Spanish preferred
• Experience in case management preferred
• Current California Driver's license
• Fingerprint clearances from DOJ & FBI for all employees who work with students

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in restorative justice (preferred), criminal justice, or related field
• Experience in restorative justice or related field preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Suite Products

Pay

$25.00 - $35.00/hour, depending on experience
