Interim Supervisor, Case Management

About the role

An Interim Supervisor, Case Management is needed to provide leadership for an inpatient case management department. Reporting to the Regional Director – Inpatient Case Management, this leader will oversee approximately 15 direct reports.

• Facilitate efficient daily operations and team management
• Conduct one-on-one meetings and staff rounding
• Ensure payroll and scheduling accuracy
• Provide staff coaching and corrective action
• Support regulatory survey readiness
• Implement strategies to improve staff retention and fill vacancies
• Coordinate hiring and onboarding activities
• Assess and implement departmental improvement opportunities in alignment with established policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient case management leadership experience and demonstrated knowledge of social determinants of health and experience working with diverse patient populations. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical. Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• BSN required
• Active Virginia RN license or compact state RN license required
• Case management certification, such as CCM, ACM, or a related credential, required
• Previous case management leadership experience required
• Inpatient case management experience and expertise in social determinants of health and diverse patient populations strongly preferred

Pay

Compensation range: $150,000 to $160,000 annually. The final rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations.
