Interim GI/Endoscopy Nurse Manager

About the role

The Interim GI/Endoscopy Nurse Manager will oversee the growth and supervision of personnel within the Endoscopy unit. Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, this leader will focus on ongoing initiatives including staff stabilization and engagement, scheduling, maintenance of diagnostic and educational processes, and identifying areas for operational and capital improvement.

Seeking a knowledgeable leader with previous Endoscopy experience who will provide stability to the department and demonstrate a hands-on mindset to support staff. Ideal candidates will bring strong communication skills and personable characteristics to interact effectively with staff and physicians. This nursing leader will hold staff accountable to ensure goals are met while providing knowledge and leadership.

Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and grow personnel within the Endoscopy unit.
  • Lead staff stabilization and engagement initiatives.
  • Manage scheduling and maintain diagnostic and educational processes.
  • Identify areas for operational and capital improvement.
  • Provide hands-on support and leadership to staff.
  • Hold staff accountable for meeting departmental goals.
  • Interact effectively with staff and physicians.

Requirements

  • BSN is required.
  • Active TN and/or compact RN license is required.
  • Active BCLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Pay

Compensation range: $155,000 to $165,000 annually. The final rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation.

Travel, accommodation, and work-related expenses are covered by B.E. Smith and the client. Bi-weekly trips home at the client's expense, a rental car, and comfortable lodging are provided.
