Assistant Nurse Manager - GI Endoscopy
Job Summary
The Asst Nurse Manager Amb is a Registered Nurse (RN) who supervises patient care, clinical personnel, and unit operations. This position works collaboratively with functional leadership and oversees daily operations, including supervision of nursing and non-licensed staff, resource management, quality improvement, payroll, schedule creation, and patient throughput. Additionally, this position ensures a safe and therapeutic unit environment, supporting leadership in fostering excellence and professional development.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience: 2 years of nursing experience required
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse, State of CT; Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) provider from the American Heart Association (AHA); other certifications may be required by specialty
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Knowledge: Principles and practices of nursing and healthcare administration; knowledge of requirements by federal, state or regulatory bodies; knowledge of high reliability organizations (HRO) and LEAN process improvement strategies
Skills: Demonstrated ability to make sound clinical assessments and institute safe and effective care; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; proven ability to lead courageous conversations, hold colleague(s) accountable and manage change and conflict; strong ability to problem solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment and in emergency situations
